No banning of Happy Hour in Iowa City...for now

Right before New Years, I discovered a story about Iowa City considering the ban of Happy Hours. While I was a bit behind the times, I did opt to write about it as I thought it was one of the more ridiculous things I had ever heard. It turns out, a majority of City Council members indicated that they did not support the proposal, either.
That can only mean one thing: they read our Blog. As Borat would say...VERY NICE!
"A majority of City Council members indicated at a work session tonight that they did not support a proposal that would require establishments with liquor licenses or wine or beer permits to sell alcoholic drinks only for their listed price. Under the plan, those prices would have to be filed with the city clerk and remain in effect for at least a week, meaning an establishment could not change drink prices each day or for certain periods in a day. Several council members, while seeming to want to address the issue of access to cheap alcohol, said the proposal would take too many resources to enforce."
